About Galen

Galen is a licensed clinical social worker with over 5 years of community mental health experience, working with youth and families on challenges including depression and anxiety, exploring LGBTQ identity, and navigating behavioral challenges. 

Prior to achieving his masters in Social Work and community mental health work he worked for over 8 years in the field of youth empowerment and international development. His experience in this field has informed his approach to therapy, emphasizing the importance of engaging with each individual with a holistic and intersectional lens. It also highlighted the important connection between mental health and social justice: when we are not operate from a place of fear or scarcity mindset we are able to show up for ourselves and others more effectively. 

For fun, Galen loves arts and crafts, hiking and biking, game nights with friends, and baking a good cheesecake.
